Details:
The Lusso was a separate trim rather than an option pack and the standard car was renamed the “Turismo” from “Medio” in the UK. Medio and Lusso trims on phase 1 and 2 cars were available with almost any engine, except for Medio-only 1.8 TS. Phase 3 cars were divided into Medio-only 2.0 JTS and Lusso-only 3.2 V6, also available was “Base” M.Y. 2003 2.0 TS.
On Phase 1 there were 3 leather MOMO seat colours available: red, tan and white. Only black dashboard. Codes are: 831/881 Red Leather, 835/885 Leather, 830/880 White Leather. Door pocket covers were leather and colour-coded.
On Phase 2, with standard black dashboard there were 4 leather MOMO seat colours to choose from: black, red, tan and light grey(only for Spider). 440/540 Black Leather, 491/501 Red Leather, 495/505 Tanned Leather, 493 Lys Grey Leather. Door pocket covers were black-leather and from 2001 black-plastic. 4-prefix indicates black hood, 5-prefix indicates blue hood.
On Phase 3 with standard black dashboard there were 3 leather MOMO seat colours to choose from: black, red and dark tan. Codes are: 440/540 Black Leather, 491/501 Red Leather, 495/505 Tanned Leather. Door pocket covers were black-plastic. 4-prefix indicates black hood, 5-prefix indicates blue hood.
Blue Style and Red Style interiors were available with Lusso trim on Phase 2 and on all Phase 3 cars. Blue Style consisted of blue dashboard and white or blue leather MOMO seats, while Red Style had red dashboard with red or black leather MOMO seats. Rest of the equipment and options remain unchanged. Codes are: 831 Red Leather, 836 Black Leather, 833 Blue Leather, 830 White Leather. Door pocket covers were black-leather on Red Style and leather, colour-coded on Blue style. On phase 3 Blue Style has blue hood colour.
Phase 2:
Phase 3:
Headrests
are fixed until 2001 update when they were regulated on 2 pins. Rear headrests are fixed.
Electrically-operated heated seats
Hood
Electrically-operated hood. Available as an option on all phases and as a standard on limited editions. On phase one Spider’s hood was available in 2 colours: black and beige. On phase 2 and 3: black and blue. Blue hood was available with 5-prefix interior code.
On early cars beige hood was only available either with Nero, Nero Met., Verde Bosco Met., Verde Tropico Met. or with Cyprus Beige leather. Black hood was available with every option.
Metallic paint
Most popular option (opt 210) on any phases and trims.
Iridescent paint
Option (opt 270). 414/B Azzurro Nuvola Pearl. only available on Phase 2 and Phase 3 cars. 341/A Verde Oasi Pearl. (option only on Phase 2a Spider) and 167/A Rosso Miro Pearl. (available only on limited editions Phase 2b and 3).
Factory fitted Aero-Kit. Easiest way to recognise is by absence of the rear windscreen-mounted third brake light, which migrated to the rear spoiler. GTV-only option. Standard on limited edition GTV Cup.
Air conditioning
On Phase 1 manually-operated. Automatic on Phase 2 and 3.
Phase 1. Refrigerant fluid used is an ecological Freon R134a. Air conditioning circuit comprises of a: compressor, condenser, evaporator and drier filter. If the car has only a heater, the evaporator in the ducting/distribution unit is not present. On the pipe connecting the condenser to the evaporator there is a 3-level pressure swith, which acts as a system control and safety device, protecting the circuit against over and underpressures. From 6/1996 there is a 4-way pressure switch. On the 2.0 TS engines there is also an antifrost pressure switch.
2.0 TS uses Nippondenso TV14SC compressor.
3.0 V6 12V and 2.0 V6 TB uses Sanden SD7V16 with variable displacement.
Phase 2. Automatic temperature climate control. A specific ECU handles the control operations. System uses internal and external NTC temperature sensors with total of 4. Probably electronic system is managed by Harrison Climate Control.
